Road restoration work in Durham to stop for Durham Fair

Laydon Industries, a contractor working for Eversource, will perform road repairs on the city’s highways, as well as highways 17 and 68.

Route 17 in Middletown will also be milled and repaved to Talcott Ridge Drive, according to a press release.

No work will be done during the Durham Agricultural Fair.

The remaining work

Raising of the city water line and sump valve boxes on Maiden Lane, Maple Avenue and Talcott Lane, which will be done just before these roads receive the two-inch pavement coating

Compaction and repaving of the water pipe trenches on Maiden Lane, Talcott Lane and Maple Avenue north of Route 68 is complete with the exception of a short section of Maiden Lane at the intersection of Ball Brook.
